History Of Darts in India...
Darts was introduced by AIDA ( All India Darts Association ) ,represented by a dynamic Professional from Kolkotta Mr. Prasanta Saha in 2003 , Within a short span of time Under Mr. Saha’s able leadership India became a member of the World darts Association in 2004.
India has ever since participated in International tournaments like the Singapore Open , Pacific Masters , World Cup , Asia Pacific Cup , Malaysian Open as well as hosted the 1st Indo- Pak friendship matches in India.
Currently there are 16 member states in India who regularly participate in the National tournaments.
There are two major tournaments held every year in India viz The National Darts Championship and the All India Darts Ranking Tournament.
In the National Darts Championship teams representing their State participate with the top players from their respective states. While in the Ranking tournament it’s a open tournament where just about anyone can take part.
To encourage youngsters the Youth title for boys as well as girls was introduced in the year 2006 at the All India Ranking Tournament held at Hyderabad a popular darts playing city in India.

Girls Nausheen Sayed, Ankita Raha, Hardeev.
The sport in India is being introduced at school & club levels by AIDA, its member associations and even by individual player members. With a population of over a Billion, darts has a huge potential in our country. Every year players are being inducted in local teams and the numbers will swell in the forthcoming years.
India will shortly host its first ever International Tournament –“India Open “
