Q1- Which darts Pins Should I choose tungsten or brass?
Ans– For beginners I would suggest brass darts as they are economical , once you develop a love for the game you could switch to a tungsten set, by then you are expected to learn the mechanics of the darts and preference of wt too which can help you choose a good set .
Q2- What should be the weight of darts pins for beginners?
Ans- This is a individual preference check out a few weights and see what you find comfort in playing with ideally for Boys/ men it should be from 20 to 23 Gms For girls / women about 18 to 20 Gms
Q3- Where do I practice, as I am alone with no darts played in my city?
Ans– Well I learnt most of my darts at home and trust me by playing all alone referring to hundreds of websites on darts for tips on darts. I personally feel you should practice more then 75% all by yourself the rest 25% with partners.
Q4- What darts Equipment do you play with?
Ans – Well I use 27 Gms Tungsten darts and my favourite board is bristle board with laser cut embedded wires.
Q5- What are your tips for budding darts players?
Ans- Well most would give an answer as Practice and only practice .Personally I too made sure I would practice daily even if it was for a few minutes .During practice consider every minute spent seriously avoid casual throws . Develop good darting habits like a good stance, good throw/release etc. also keep learning from darts websites, tips, articles etc. Develop calculation skills as you are nearing finishing/ out shots.

Q7- What is the scope of darts in India as well as world wide?
Ans- No Doubt darts is a very popular sport abroad –But its getting popular in India too, we have had 6 National tournaments and have participated in 5 international events including the World cup at Perth-Australia in 2005 There are numerous regional tournaments at Club, school & corporate level. There is a very strong possibility that darts would be included in the 2012 Olympics in London too. Further the World Cup is held every two years each time in a different host country.
